The Opportunity: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Before/After School Care and Summer Recreation Programs. Reporting directly to the South Country Social Planning Committee Society, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and high-quality delivery of our programs, providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for the children in our care.

Responsibilities:
● Provide strong leadership and direction for the daily operations of the Before/After School Care and Summer Recreation Programs.
● Supervise, mentor, and support all program staff, including summer students and part-time educators, fostering a positive and effective team environment.
● Develop engaging and age-appropriate program schedules, activities, and curriculum that align with relevant regulations and our program philosophy.
● Prioritize and ensure the safety, well-being, and positive development of all children participating in the programs.
● Efficiently manage enrollment processes, billing procedures, and other administrative tasks.
● Establish and maintain clear and effective communication with parents/guardians, school staff, and the South Country Social Planning Committee Society.
● Ensure full compliance with the Child Care Regulation and the Community Care and Assisted Living Act.
● Develop and manage the program budget effectively, ensuring responsible allocation of resources.
● Organize and conduct regular staff meetings and facilitate opportunities for ongoing professional development.
● Maintain accurate and up-to-date program records and documentation.
● Act as a liaison with licensing authorities, ensuring all requirements are met.
● Collaborate with the Community Coordinator to support the licensing process.

Qualifications:
● Early Childhood Education (ECE) Diploma or equivalent Human Service Worker Diploma is preferred, however manager experience or other relevant experience could be considered under certain circumstances.
● Demonstrated experience working in a licensed childcare setting or with school-age children is essential.
● Proven leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team, with the ability to work the position as required.
● Excellent organizational, communication (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills. 

● A strong understanding of child development principles and best practices.
● Valid Standard First Aid and CPR certification.
● Successful completion of a clear Criminal Record Check.

Estimated Wage: $26 - $28 per hour (with the option of the ECE-WE with proof of Certification which tops the position up by $6 to $8.00 per hour).
