Job Title: Baggage Handling Agent

About Us 

The YHU Terminal is a partnership between Porter Aviation Holdings and Macquarie Asset Management to develop and operate a state-of-the-art passenger terminal at MET – Montréal Metropolitan Airport in Saint-Hubert. 

The new modern terminal will be operational on June 15, 2026, and will accommodate up to four million passengers per year. 

The Baggage Handling Agent plays a key role in ensuring that every passenger has an exceptional experience upon arrival and departure from our facilities. This position is essential to maintaining the smooth operation of the baggage sorting system by resolving blockages and handling oversized and non-consolidated baggage. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Ensure baggage flows smoothly through the conveyor system;  
  • Resolve system blockages;  
  • Manually identify baggage not recognized by the automated identification system;  
  • Ensure baggage containers are properly repositioned in designated departure areas;  
  • Actively participate in contingency plans;  
  • Follow baggage control procedures and regulations;  
  • Maintain accuracy while managing frequent interruptions and changes in workload throughout the day;  

Qualifications & Skills 

  • High school diploma (DES) or vocational diploma (DEP);  
  • Bilingual in French and English;  
  • Strong verbal communication skills;  
  • Solution-oriented mindset;  
  • Comfortable using computerized systems;  
  • Strong teamwork skills;  
  • Ability to pass a security background check;  
  • Ability to communicate clearly via UHF radio;  
  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks;  
  • Versatile and resourceful;  
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods;  
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 30 kg;  
  • Ability to adapt to fluctuating workloads;  
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada;
