The Supply Chain Director is primarily responsible for the following:

Supply Chain Strategy

  • Define and implement the procurement strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve lead times, and optimize processes.
  • Analyze market trends and anticipate resource requirements.

Supplier Management

  • Select, evaluate, and negotiate with strategic suppliers within the aerospace industry.
  • Develop and maintain long-term partnerships with key suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery, compliance, and cost metrics.
  • Manage supply chain risks such as shortages, supplier dependency, and other disruptions.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and motivate the purchasing/supply chain team and production line follow-up personnel.
  • Establish team performance objectives and monitor progress toward achieving them.
  • Support employee development through training, coaching, and continuous learning opportunities.

Operational Management

  • Oversee the full procurement cycle, including requisition, purchasing, receiving, and invoicing.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), such as service levels, lead times, and cost savings.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Systems and Processes

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within procurement and supply chain processes.
  • Oversee or manage procurement-related systems and tools.
  • Identify opportunities to digitize and automate processes where appropriate.
  • Leverage AI tools and technologies to support cost reduction and operational efficiency initiatives.
