Job descriptionSummary
Reporting to the Vice President of Service, the Regional Service Manager is responsible for managing personnel and providing customer support in Western Canada, with a particular focus on Vancouver. The Regional Service Manager’s main roles are to provide leadership to his staff, ensure contract commitments are maintained and to coordinate technical resolutions and escalations with his staff, customers and the Regional Sales Department. Ensuring customer satisfaction is a corporate priority and is a primary part of the Regional Manager’s mandate. The incumbent for this role must promote and encourage team spirit in both the Technical Support and Sales Departments, as well as providing and maintaining a customer-driven service ideology.

Key accountabilities

  • Ensures that the installation of equipment and software are staffed and performed within targeted timeframes.
  • Monitor service costs (parts, labour) and expenses and report abnormal circumstances to the VP.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement of support and service;
  • Ensures that corporate policies and procedures are applied in his region;
  • Recruit & Effectively on board new hires (Mentor , clarifying KARs, provide reviews/feedback mechanisms);
  • Manage customer relationships and effectively partner with regional sales counterparts;
  • Develop and drive change initiatives as required to improve efficiencies and execute on business commitments;
  • Owns and drives financial business results for regions.
  • Ensure maintenance schedules are respected in accordance with contracts;
  • Ensure Department employees are compliant with standards and procedures;
  • Ensure that the equipment database is kept up to date;
  • Follow up and correct problems pertaining to customer safety and institute appropriate measures.

Job requirements Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant related field;
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing a service team;
  • Knowledge and practical understanding of medical products equipment;
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written in French and English
