Job Description

Summary

Reporting to their supervisor, the incumbent effectively manages the projects assigned to them. As part of their role within the organization, they automatically become a member of the Project Management Office (PMO) and actively contribute to its development and maintenance, helping the organization achieve its goals in operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, my responsibilities include:

  • Identifying the strategic directions of projects involving various internal and external stakeholders and ensuring the technical feasibility of deliverables;

  • Managing the assigned projects in an integrated manner and ensuring they meet the required quality, allocated budget, and approved timeline at each stage;

  • Ensuring that all project activities comply with guidelines and legal frameworks;

  • Defining standards, monitoring work quality, and evaluating results;

  • Assigning, distributing, and monitoring the work performed by the project team without formal hierarchical authority;

  • Managing and developing a project charter, integrated project plan, resource plan, risk and contingency management plan, and other related project management artifacts;

  • Ensuring and facilitating all operational and financial checkpoints throughout the project lifecycle;

  • Evaluating and resolving all high-priority risks inherent to the projects;

  • Participating in the management of human, material, and technical resources related to the project, and overseeing vendor management while ensuring contractual agreements are respected;

  • Participating in accountability reporting;

  • Planning and organizing projects based on the availability of human, material, financial, and informational resources;

  • Maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders regarding project progress, encountered issues, and challenges;

  • Updating project information and ensuring that deliverables meet client expectations;

  • Communicating regularly with project team members, approving completed work hours, and determining the activities required to complete the project;

  • Ensuring compliance with the project’s scope, quality, cost, and schedule;

  • Coordinating various project management processes (change request process, resolution of outstanding issues, adequate risk tracking, quality control of deliverables, approval of project and content management deliverables);

  • Ensuring project documentation management complies with organizational standards and regulations;

  • Writing progress reports related to project management;

  • Collaborating in the production of project performance indicators and dashboards;

  • Organizing the knowledge transfer to relevant teams at the end of the project lifecycle;

  • Writing project post-mortems and closing out projects;

  • Delegating tasks and setting goals in terms of timeline and quality;

  • Creating, prioritizing, assigning, and tracking the team's tasks and progress daily, based on deliverables.

As a PMO member, your participation also includes:

  • Contributing to the development of the organization's project management approach;

  • Participating in the development of project management methodology (processes);

  • Working closely with other departments and functions within the organization;

  • Taking part in continuous improvement activities.

 

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • University degree in Information Technology or other relevant education;

  • PMP certification or in progress;

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in Information Technology or healthcare IT;

  • Excellent command of both French and English, spoken and written;

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Sound judgment, autonomy, flexibility, and openness;

  • Strong ability to manage priorities, initiative, and drive for results;

  • Willingness to travel (up to 50% of the time).
