As an Operations Supervisor, your primary mandate will be to supervise, coordinate, and optimize the operational resources under their responsibility in order to ensure the efficient, productive, and safe execution of activities. More specifically, you will be responsible for:

• Work closely with the Planner to anticipate capacity needs in the short, medium, and long term;
• Maintain a high utilization rate of resources by ensuring continuous visibility of upcoming workload;
• Identify risks of underutilization, overload, or resource conflicts and implement the required corrective actions;
• Ensure alignment between business priorities, project requirements, and resource availability;
• Promote workforce versatility to increase operational flexibility;
• Maintain an active presence with employees and stay connected to operational realities in the field;
• Develop trust-based relationships founded on listening, availability, and open communication;
• Ensure regular follow-up on employee engagement, commitment, and well-being;
• Support employees in achieving their objectives and professional development;
• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, respect, and excellence;
• Oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with performance, quality, and safety standards;
• Lead and ensure the disciplined execution of the Daily Management System (DMS) within their area;
• Conduct daily operational meetings and monitor performance indicators;
• Identify, document, and communicate deviations from established objectives;
• Implement corrective action plans and ensure follow-up until the expected results are achieved;
• Escalate issues requiring management support or decisions in a timely manner;
• Proactively identify risks, obstacles, or constraints that may affect team productivity;
• Ensure employees have the tools, equipment, information, and resources necessary for their success;
• Measure, analyze, and communicate performance indicators for their area;
• Ensure the achievement of operational objectives and the continuous improvement of results;
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, work methods, and operational practices;
• Reduce time losses related to waiting, rework, travel, interruptions, or other inefficiencies;
• Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance productivity and operational flow;
• Engage teams in continuous improvement initiatives;
• Measure the benefits of implemented actions and ensure their sustainability;
• Assess current team competencies and identify development needs;
• Proactively identify individual and collective training needs;
• Collaborate with the Innovation and Solutions Department to define strategic competencies to be developed;
• Develop and implement training and development plans;
• Promote knowledge transfer, versatility, autonomy, and succession development;
• Perform any other related duties.

REQUIREMENTS

• Hold a college diploma in administration, management, business management, or any other relevant field of study;
• Any relevant combination of education, experience, and professional achievements will be considered;
• Additional training in management, continuous improvement, Lean principles, operations management, or leadership (asset);
• 5 years of experience in an operational, technical, industrial, or specialized services environment;
• 3 years of experience in workforce leadership and frontline management;
• Experience in continuous improvement and implementing operational efficiency measures;
• Experience leading a Daily Management System (DMS) (asset);
• Strong command of both French and English, spoken and written, to communicate with partners outside Quebec;
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools;
• Knowledge of Lean principles, continuous improvement, or operational management (asset);
• Experience with Power BI, SharePoint, and collaborative platforms (asset).
