The IT Technician is responsible for providing technical support and advice to the various divisions of Groupe Madysta as well as to external clients. This includes responding to client needs through the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer hardware and software.

Work Schedule

  • Day shift, Monday to Friday;
  • 40 hours per week (permanent, full-time position);
  • On-site work.

  • Trois-Rivières, QC.

Responsibilities

  • Provide IT support to all divisions of Groupe Madysta and external clients;
  • Conduct analyses and research to resolve client technical issues;
  • Create user accounts, install software, and manage network access requests;
  • Install and perform commissioning tests on computer equipment;
  • Follow up with clients after problem resolution;
  • Implement network security and traffic control software, and optimize server performance;
  • Perform data backup and restoration operations;
  • Conduct security, control, and quality tests;
  • Collaborate to maintain cohesion across all departments within the organization;
  • Promote and contribute to efforts ensuring a healthy, safe, respectful, and continuously improving work environment;
  • Perform any other reasonable and related tasks normally carried out by a person in the same position, within the skills and abilities of an IT Technician.

Hiring Requirements

  • Hold a DEP, DEC, or certificate in computer science;
  • Proficient in both French and English – spoken and written;
  • Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
