Under the direction of the Executive Chef and/or Sous-Chef, the Cook prepares tasty and original dishes while adhering to quality and food safety standards. This role contributes to delivering a memorable dining experience in a friendly and professional atmosphere.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients according to established standards and requirements.

  • Cook food using precise techniques and recipes.

  • Plate dishes according to the establishment's presentation standards.

  • Keep workstation clean and organized at all times.

  • Strictly follow food safety and hygiene standards.

  • Communicate clearly and courteously with the team.

  • Foster positive working relationships with colleagues.

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.

  • Maintain confidentiality of work-related information.

  • Safeguard company assets.

  • Report any accidents, injuries, or hazards to the supervisor.

  • Perform any other related duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Professional or college training in hospitality, tourism, or a related field.

  • 1 to 2 years of experience, ideally in hospitality.

  • MAPAQ food hygiene and safety certificate (an asset).

Skills, Abilities, and Aptitudes

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.

  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.

  • Flexibility for varied shifts: weekends, mornings, evenings, and holidays.

  • Ability to stand for most of the shift.

  • Handle objects weighing less than 15 pounds without assistance.

  • Communicate effectively in writing and orally in French and functional English.
