YHU Terminal is a partnership between Porter Aviation Holdings and Macquarie Asset Management to develop and operate a new state-of-the-art passenger terminal at MET - Montreal Metropolitan Airport in Saint-Hubert. The private Terminal operator offers modern facilities that will eventually welcome up to four million passengers a year.
Mission
The Ramp Team Leader is responsible for overseeing all ground handling operations, ensuring that procedures are executed safely, efficiently, and on time. Acting as the frontline Leader, they coordinate a team of ramp agents and ensure the proper use and availability of all necessary equipment for each operation. They ensure that safety regulations and quality standards are met, while continuously working to optimize team performance and contribute to on-time performance targets.

They ensure that safety regulations and quality standards are met, while continuously working to optimize team performance and contribute to on-time performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and lead the team in coordinating and executing daily ground activities, including aircraft marshalling, towing, loading, unloading, cabin cleaning ...etc
- Conduct daily briefings with ramp crew to align on goals and safety updates.
- Assign tasks and support real-time decision-making to maintain smooth operations.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure the availability and proper functionality of all ground support equipment, including GPUs, stairs, cones, and other essential tools prior to operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures (SMS, OH&S, airport regulations, SOPs).
- Guide and mentor team members to ensure all tasks are carried out safely, efficiently and on time.
- Respond quickly to unforeseen situations such as delays or incidents on the ramp, coordinating necessary corrective actions with the Ramp Duty manager.
- Train, coach, and support new employees in adopting proper safety practices and operational procedures.
- Follow the Duty Manager's instructions and lead by example, ensuring the team is aligned and informed on the directives.
- Produce activity follow-up reports, document incidents and anomalies, and communicate with Duty manager.
- Participate in daily meetings to discuss operational issues, performance, and possible improvements.
- Ensure high-quality service delivery by respecting operational timelines and maintaining the satisfaction of both internal and external stakeholders (e.g., airlines, passengers)
- High school diploma or equivalent experience in the airport, logistics, or transportation field.
- At least 2 years of experience in ramp operations or ground services, with team management experience (an asset).
- Excellent communication, team management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and high-pressure environment, with strong adaptability.
- Bilingualism in French/English required.
- Holding or eligibility for a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
- Valid driver’s license (class 5)
- Availability for variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, in confined or restricted spaces when necessary, and in good physical condition to lift and carry loads of up to 32 kg (70 lbs).
- Must consistently adhere to the company’s uniform policy and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
